We have recently tested a range of POS hardware to see if it works on the Mac.

The conclusion is that, so far, we can't find a pole display in New Zealand that is Mac-compatible however everything else listed below works perfectly:

  • Epson TM-T20 and Epson TM-T88V thermal receipt printers
  • DigiPos cashdrawer ("kicked" by Epson printer)
  • Datalogic QD2130 barcode scanner
  • Metrologic MS9590 VoyagerGS barcode scanner
  • Dymo label printers
This is great news for shops and businesses in New Zealand who want to run their point of sale on a Mac.
